Binge Eating Disorder Binge Eating Disorder is characterized by recurrent episodes of binge eating, often with weight gain. Recurrent weight fluctuations from dieting and periods of overeating are common, resulting in depressed moods and low self-esteem.

Bulimia Nervosa Bulimia Nervosa is characterized by recurrent episodes of binge eating followed by purging, fasting and/or excessive exercise. Depressed moods and self-depreciating thoughts follow the eating binges with a fear of being out of control.
